Beliefs

The Emmons School District believes that all members of the school community should:

• Cultivate an inclusive and equitable environment that demonstrates respect and kindness.

• Embrace continuous growth for each student by providing the skills necessary through educational experiences that are engaging and diverse.

• Provide a safe, stimulating, caring, and attractive environment conducive to learning. 

• Manage financial assets in a manner that is fiscally responsible to all members of the community.

• Partner with students, staff, families, and community to equip students with the skills to communicate effectively, collaborate, think critically, and effectively solve problems. 

Standard 1: Programs / Services / Curriculum

Board of Education Goal: 

Monitor and provide support to all implemented programs, services and curriculum initiatives.

Standard 2: District Financial Condition

Vision: Manage financial assets in a manner that is fiscally responsible to all members of the community.

Board of Education Goal: The Board will maintain financial stability while aligning budget funding with the current strategic plan.

Standard 3: Student Achievement

Vision: In the face of adversity, we demonstrate resilience, shaping a future where every student fulfills their potential and makes a positive impact on the world.

Board of Education Goal: The board will embrace continuous growth for each student by providing the skills necessary through educational experiences that are engaging and diverse.

Standard 4: Communication to the Community

Vision: At the heart of our vision lies teamwork, fostering collaboration and embracing diversity with profound respect.

Board of Education Goal: Partner with students, staff, families, and community to equip students with the skills to communicate effectively, collaborate, think critically, and effectively solve problems.

Standard 5: Policy and Governance

Vision: The Board of Education and the Superintendent constitute the leadership team for the district. This relationship is based on mutual respect for their complementary roles. Together, the Board of Education and the Superintendent will work to formulate district policy (Reference Policy 2:130)

Board of Education Goal: The Board of Education will ensure that strategic plan actions align with board policy and school code.
